About Louisiana Association for Environmental Education
Our Mission
At Louisiana Association for Environmental Education, our mission is to protect and preserve the environment for future generations. We work towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions, conserving natural resources, and promoting sustainable living practices.
Our Story
Founded in 2020, Louisiana Association for Environmental Education was created in response to the growing environmental concerns of the time. Especially in the persistent poverty areas consisting mainly of low-income disadvantaged communities. A major problem in south Louisiana with chemical plants lining the banks of the Mississippi River referred to as "Cancer Alley". Moreover, there has been an unprecedented amount of cancer diagnosis in this region. Since then, we have been dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet through advocacy, education, and community engagement.
Our Team
Our team is made up of passionate professionals who are committed to environmental education, research, and protection. Our team of professionals consist of teachers from elementary to high school, Engineers, PhD researchers, agriculture and community volunteers ready to make a change. We have experts in environmental education, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and environmental policy who work together to achieve our mission.
